Willie Revillame made an announcement during the April 8 episode (last night) of his program "Willing Willie" that his show will go off air for two weeks beginning this Monday.

“Mawawala kami ng dalawang linggo. Mahal na mahal ko kayo. Ipagdasal nyong makabalik pa ang programa (Willing Willie),” Revillame said. He added that they are supposed to celebrate the 6th month of Willing Willie on air this April 23 and he enumerated all the setbacks that they encountered for the show to go on, the latest of which is the controversial March 12 episode wherein he was accused by some government agencies, religious organizations and prominent personalities of committing child abuse (CLICK HERE FOR RELATED ARTICLE).

Revillame also expressed his disappointments to big companies who immediately pulled out their ad placements from the show because of the incident, like Procter and Gamble and Mang Inasal among others.

He also attacked celebrities who expressed their disgust about about the incident via their Twitter accounts. He named these celebrities as follows: Lea Salonga, Aiza Seguerra, Bianca Gonzales, Jim Paredes, Lea Navarro, Mylene Dizon, Tuesday Vargas, K Brosas and Agot Isidro.

Revillame questioned the said celebrities on what they have made to help the poor. “Nakagawa ba kayo ng tulong? Anong nagawa nyo? Nagbigay ba kayo sa Bantay Bata ng 1 million? Ung mga taong yan winasak ang pangalan ko sa Twitter,” he asked.

“May natulungan ba kayong mahirap? Aiza, magpakalalake ka! Agot, wala ka namang anak kung makapacomment ka! Bianca, akala mo kung sino ka na,” he added.

He threatened to sue them in court.

According to a TV5 insider, Willie Revillame will contemplate until Holy Week if he will leave showbiz once and for all. If not, the show might resume airing after that.
