It’s “Songs from the Movies” week in American Idol Season 10, which airs locally on GMA News TV Channel 11.

The Top 8–Casey Abrams, Lauren Alaina, James Durbin, Stefano Langone, Jacob Lusk, Scotty McCreery, Paul McDonald and Haley Reinhart–will take on songs from the motion pictures on performance night.

On results night, Grammy Award-winner Rihanna will perform on the IDOL stage. Also a guest performer–season one champ Kelly Clarkson, who will perform “Don’t You Wanna Stay” with country music superstar Jason Aldean.

And of course, on results night, the finalist with the lowest number of viewer votes will be revealed and sent home. Following last week’s surprise elimination of perceived frontrunner Pia Toscano, it’s still anyone’s IDOL season.

Who will pick the best songs to showcase their talents on American Idol? Who will falter? Are viewers in for another unexpected elimination?

The best is yet to come. American Idol performance night airs this Thursday, 6 pm (with same day replay at 10 pm), and the results night airs on Friday, 6 pm (with same day replay at 10 pm) only on GMA News TV Channel 11.
