James Durbin sang “Heavy Metal” during the American Idol Top 8 performance night.
Here are the judges’ thoughts:
Randy Jackson said “You were just at a James Durbin concert. This is unbelievable. Tonight you did you. Durbin rocks.”
Steven Tyler said “Outstanding.”
Jennifer Lopez said “That felt really really real. It is crazy in here tonight. Who would have thought on American Idol we would have had heavy metal.”
CD thought this was James Durbin‘s weakest performance. It was a mess, really. Don’t listen to the judges. They are the reason why Pia Toscano got eliminated last week.
But of course, we won’t see James in the bottom three tomorrow because just like Scotty, he’s got a huge fan base. I think it’s between James and Scotty in the final two. Country versus Rock!
