‘Amaya’ Starring Marian Rivera Hits Primetime on May 30
Dubbed as the most expensive, most ambitious and biggest primetime series of GMA-7, “Amaya” is now set to make history on May 30 as part of the Kapuso network’s “Heavyweights of May” campaign.
“Amaya” is topbilled by GMA’s biggest star–Marian Rivera–as a woman blessed with extraordinary powers, which she will use to lead her people in a time dominated by males.
Also starring in the historical series are Glaiza de Castro, Sid Lucero, Mikael Daez, and Rochelle Pangilinan.
Created and developed by Suzette Doctolero, the epicserye is the biggest show that will premiere on GMA-7 this May.

According to an insider from GMA7, Filipina actress Marian Rivera indirectly insulted Miss Universe 4th runner-up Venus Raj in a sitcom shoot where the morena beauty queen is a guest actress. A staff of the sitcom “Show Me The Manny” said that Marian Rivera told them that the morena beauty is “chaka”, a Filipino gay lingo meaning ugly. According to a souce, Rivera stressed that Raj is ugly in person before laughing hard together with her loyal allies inside the dressing room.
Meanwhile, it is still unknown if this issue came to Raj’s knowledge.
Rivera, who was the lead actress of the sitcom, has always been involved in many controversies due to the actress’ “bad attitude”. The last controversy Rivera was involved was the “fight” between her and the neophyte actress Bela Padilla. Padilla, 19, co-starred the GMA7′s hit telenovela remake “Endless Love” was discriminated by Rivera in many behind the scenes, including insults and tirades against the neophyte actress who notably came from a showbiz clan.

Claire dela Fuente asked the GMA network executives to protect her talent Bela Padilla who is being bullied by Marian Rivera on the set of their TV series Endless Love.
Claire just knew recently that her talent Bela is being bullied by Marian as the later wanted her talent to keep her hands off to her hunk boyfriend, Dingdong Dantes. As we all know that Dingdong is Marian’s reel and real life boyfriend.
In a press conference which was held last Aug. 12 when Bela was asked how is her working relationship with Marian this is what she stated then:
“She [Marian] didn’t do anything physical to me. I’m okay naman with her… Siguro mga three or four times lang kaming nagkasama sa eksena ni Ate Yan dahil we work in different units. Ako, madalas sa unit ni Direk Andoy Ranay, sila ni Dingdong sa unit ni Direk Mac [Alejandre].”
But only recently did, Claire dela Fuente knew that an incident wherein Rivera locked herself and Padilla inside a comfort room in a hotel in Pampanga. And this is what she said in a recent interview:
“Sinabi niya [Bel] sa’kin sinigawan nga raw siya [ni Marian] ng ‘Pasok!’ tapos pumasok siya sa CR. Pinaalis lahat ng mga tao sa loob ng CR. Pinagsabihan [niya ang guests at mga staff ng Fontana] na ‘Labas, labas kayong lahat! Labas kayong lahat!’ Tapos ni-lock niya ‘yung pinto tapos pinagduduro niya si Bela at sinabi niya na, ‘Ang pangit-pangit mo, ang tingin mo mai-insecure ako sa’yo?’ sabi niya. ‘Ang landi-landi mo.’ Marami pang iba [na sinabi] actually,” said dela Fuente.
Popoy Caritativo, the manager of Marian Rivera on the other hand released a statement yesterday regarding Claire dela Fuente‘s claims.
“Hindi na kami magsasalita. Ginagamit lang nila si Marian. Hindi namin sila papatulan. Kahit sa GMA, hindi na kami magsasalita,” was his short response.
