American Idol Top 5 Results: as expected, Jacob Lusk gets the boot.

During the Top 5 live results show of American Idol, Lady Antebellum performed their newest single “Just a Kiss.” The show also featured a pre-recorded performance of Idol Judge Jennifer Lopez. She sang her hit single “On the Floor” with Pitbull. A video teaser of JLo’s upcoming single “I’m Into You” featuring Lil Wayne was shown.

Although the Top 5 finalists did not perform live, a video clip of them competing on “Hell’s Kitchen” was shown. Host Gordon Ramsay asked the five to cook omelettes. Ramsay threw Haley’s right in the trash, and told Jacob “not even the big man could save his omelette.” James was told his was “hard as a rock” while Scotty’s looked like something from the trash can. He awarded the best omelette to Lauren.

The final part of the show was the results. Ryan put James, Scotty and Haley (who rocked last night’s performance show) to safety leaving Lauren and Jacob who were indeed the bottom two. Then he revealed that Jacob Lusk is leaving the show.
