Cha Cha from ‘Grease’ Has Passed Away

Another star from the 1978 musical “Grease” has passed away.

63-year-old Annette Charles, who portrayed the character Cha Cha DiGregorio in the movie has died, as reported by Access Hollywood.

Annette’s mother, Mary Cardona, confirmed that her daughter died on Wednesday, after being hospitalized for approximately a month.

The actress-turned-professor was first hospitalized for pneumonia but she was also battling cancer.

Before her role in Grease, Annette also starred in various television shows like “The Bionic Woman,” “Magnum P.I.” and “The Incredible Hulk.” When Annette retired from acting in 1987 she became a speech professor, teaching at California State University.

Just last May, Jeff Conaway, who co-starred in “Grease” with Annette as Kenickie, died at the age of 60 after spending weeks in a coma and struggling with addiction issues in recent years.
