Caylee Anthony’s Grandparents Celebrate Toddler’s Birthday

Remember the high-profile murder of toddler Caylee Anthony? The child would have been 6 years old today and her grandparents together with more than 100 members of the public gathered in Orlando, near a wooden area where the little girl’s remains were found in 2008.

“This is the first time I’ve been here in so long,” George Anthony told reporters a few feet from where his granddaughter’s body was found. “It’s hard to come here.”

The appearance of George and Cindy Anthony was a surprise to some. They are wearing t-shirts featuring a photo of the toddler surrounded with the words “you will always remain in our hearts.

The crowd released dozens of purple balloons into the air as they harmoniously uttered “Happy Birthday Caylee.”

The child’s mother, Casey Anthony, was acquitted last month of murder charges and was released from jail. She has vanished from the public view since then.
