Katy Perry Makes Billboard History for Having Five No. 1 Singles

Katy Perry matches Michael Jackson's record of having five songs from a single album reach the top spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart.

Katy Perry‘s fifth single “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F) from her album “Teenage Dream” tops the Hot 100 of the Billboard Chart and at the same time makes history.

In the last 53 years, it was only Perry and the late Michael Jackson achieved the feat of having 5 songs from a single album reach to be no. 1 on Billboard. The King of Pop had five songs from the album “Bad” go to the top of the charts in 1987 and 1988.

Perry’s no. 1 hits from “Teenage Dream,” which was released nearly a year ago and has sold 1.7 million copies are (in order of release) “California Gurls,” featuring Snoop Dogg, “Teenage Dream,” “Firework,” “E.T.” and “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.).”
