The love story that charmed fans in the ‘80s returns not on the silverscreen but on TV.

PS I Love You, the movie that further pinned Gabby Concepcion and Sharon Cuneta to stardom, is given new life as it premieres as TV5’s newest primetime dramaserye on November 21.

TV5’s PS I Love You is a sequel to the original ‘80s movie. Mark (Gabby Concepcion) and Kristine (now portrayed by Dina Bonnevie) didn’t have a happy ending to their love story after all, and they now live separate lives with families of their own. What they thought was their greatest love was left behind. But as fate would have it, their paths would cross again and the memories they wish to bury resurface.

The dramaserye takes off from Mark and Kristine’s supposed wedding day, where the latter doesn’t show up. Mark finds out later that Kristine accepted the marriage proposal of a wealthy businessman.

Mark tries to move on from his sad fate and works his way to become a billionaire investment banker. Kristine, on the other hand, is happily married with two kids, but her picture-perfect life crumbles upon the death of her husband. As their businesses dwindle and their family stands on the brink of bankruptcy, Kristine’s daughter Andrea (Alex Gonzaga) steps up to save their remaining livelihood. Despite the tremendous responsibility she has to bear for her family, she derives motivation and inspiration from Jason (Kean Cipriano), a struggling musician who loves her with all his heart.

Upon the advice of their relatives, Andrea decides to sell their company to an investor who would be interested in resuscitating the business. Unknown to Andrea, the man interested in buying their company is Mark, an old flame of her mother and her one great love.

This starts another chapter in the lives of Mark and Kristine. As love blossoms between their children – Mark’s son Paul (AJ Muhlach) and Kristine’s other daughter Candice (Nadine Lustre) – they move heaven and earth to keep them apart. However, Paul and Candice struggle to fight for the love despite all odds.

Completing the cast of PS I Love You are Candy Pangilinan, Cheska Inigo, Michael Flores, Say Alonzo, Jaycee Parker, Melissa Mendez, Nikki Bacolod, Al Chris Galura, Sarah Polvereni and Cogie Domingo, with the special participation of Lloyd Samartino.

Directed by Robert Quebral and Elaine Lozano, PS I Love You is co-produced by TV5 and Viva TV. It airs Monday to Friday after Glamorosa starting November 21 on TV5.
