‘Legacy’ Became Trending Topic on Twitter During Its Pilot

GMA’s glossy-drama masterpiece, LEGACY, kicked-off its pilot episode last night, January 16.

Legacy’s pilot episode became a worldwide trending topic; it also put #LegacyGMA in the number one spot in Philippines’ most trending topics on the popular micro-blogging site Twitter.

Based on the Mega Manila overnight ratings gathered by the more widely and recognized TV rating supplier, Nielsen TV Audience Measurement, LEGACY posted a household audience share of 34.1.

Natasha Alcantara played by Lovi Poe expresses her gratitude on the success of the pilot episode of Legacy, “I would like to thank everyone who watched Legacy last night and made it trend on Twitter. The audience should look forward to viewing more intense episodes.

As the story progresses, Dennis Trillo (young Cesar) admits that he loves Bianca King (young Isabel). Chynna Hortaleza (young Eva) tries to confront Isabel, a squabble takes place eventually putting the rallying employees to jail, including Isabel and Lucio, her avid suitor. Isabel hopes and prays that Cesar will help them get out of jail. As expected, the case against them was pulled out and they are released.

Full of gladness, Isabel hurriedly goes to the office of Cesar to thank him for the help. To her surprise, Cesar asks her to leave the company and puts an end to their romantic relationship. Her world falls apart and the shock causes an emotional breakdown. Lucio will bring her to the hospital to have her checked and the news of pregnancy is announced by the doctor.

With Isabel’s pregnancy, it will intensify Eva’s fear of Cesar leaving them once he learns of the news. Her mom, Sophia, will convince her to continue pretending that she’s pregnant. They will adopt a baby to make their plan realistic and the baby will be named Natasha (Lovi Poe).
