‘A Mother’s Story’ Grosses P24.8-M in 2 Weeks

The first Pinoy movie for 2012--"A Mother's Story"--collected P24.8 million in two weeks.

“A Mother’s Story” is a family drama topbilled by host/comedienne Pokwang. Also starring in the first Pinoy movie for 2012, and also the first to score a grade of “A” from the Cinema Evaluation Board, are Xyriel Manabat, Rayver Cruz, Noni Buencamino, and Daria Ramirez.

Ruling PHL box office for the January 18 to 22 frame is the Kate Beckinsale-starrer Underworld Awakening with an gross of P37.9 million in 4 days. Placing second is Sherlock Holmes: A Games of Shadows which grossed P10.5 million on its second weekend.
