ABS-CBN's late-night current affairs program, “The Bottomline with Boy Abunda,” recently bagged awards from the 8th USTv Student’s Choice Awards and Gandingan: The UPLB Isko’t Iska’s Broadcast Choice Awards.

USTv awarded “Bottomline” as the Students’ Choice of Public Affairs–Talk Show Program while Gandingan recognized it as the Best Development-Oriented Talk Show. The program’s host Asia’s King of Talk Boy Abunda was also honored in Gandingan as the Best Development-Oriented Talk Show Host.

The USTv Student’s Choice Awards is an annual awards night event of University of Sto. Tomas (UST) that recognizes different programs and personalities that uphold Thomasian values and Catholic teachings.; while Gandingan Awards of the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) honors programs and personalities that promote development-oriented issues.

Prior USTv and Gandingan, “Bottomline” was named as the Best Talk Show for 2011 in the prestigious 16th Asian TV Awards, besting 6 other Asian programs including CNN Hong Kong and New Delhi TV sa India.
