Anne Curtis Loses Best Actress Award from Angel Locsin

Anne Curtis said she has no hard feeling for losing the Best Actress trophy from fellow Kapamilya Angel Locsin for the movie “In the Name of Love” in the recently-concluded PMPC Star Awards for Movies.

Anne’s last movie was “No Other Woman,” considered by critics as her best dramatic performance yet. The film even made it to the record books for being the second highest-grossing Filipino movie of all time (next to Vice Ganda’s “Praybeyt Benjamin”).

In an interview by Push.ph, Anne believes the award really belongs to Angel.

“I said naman and I admitted na it was a well-deserved award to Angel,” she said.

“And I watched the film, super-bilib kaya deserving talaga the actors that won from Best Supporting (Actor) to the Best Actress and Actor. It was well-deserved kaya walang hard feelings, kaibigan ko si Angel kaya I’m so happy for her,” she added.

She narrated how Angel apologized to her when they met backstage during the awards night:

“Nagso-sorry pa siya, [sabi ni Angel] ‘Sorry ah.’ [Sabi ko] ‘Ba’t ka nagso-sorry sa akin?’ Sabi ko, ‘Congratulations, it’s a well-deserved award kaya walang hard feelings.’”

The other nominees for the Best Actress category were Ai-Ai delas Alas (Enteng Ng Ina Mo), Eugene Domingo (Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank), Lovi Poe (My Neighbor’s Wife), Maja Salvador (Thelma) and Judy Ann Santos (My Househusband).
