Jessica Sanchez is Safe, Not Even in the Bottom 3

Jessica Sanchez did not hit the bottom three this week, thanks to the "Pinoy" votes! American Idol got the highest number of votes received yesterday.

Jessica Sanchez is safe! The Filipino votes are working!

According to Ryan Seacrest, 53 million votes were received yesterday, the highest for season 11. It’s believed to be the first time the total was announced in the live shows, well because it’s a big number. I wonder how many of those votes came from outside the US?

By the way, Jimmy Iovine apologized for Jessica’s song choice. He said it was too old for her. Hope Jessica will pick a song that will showcase her vocal prowess. Like the Celine Dion song that she sang on America’s Got Talent or perhaps songs like “I Don’t Wanna Miss a Thing,” Steven Tyler will surely love that.

Anyway, Congratulations to Jessica Sanchez for making it to the Top 6!

Before the results, former Idol winner Kris Allen sang his new single “Vision of Love.”

Also, LMFAO performed “Sorry for Party Rocking.”

Now for the results…

SAFE:

Joshua Ledet
Skylar Laine
Jessica Sanchez
Phil Phillips
Elise Testone

BOTTOM 3:

Hollie Cavanagh
Elise Testone
Colton Dixon

ELIMINATED:

Colton Dixon
