NAIA as One of the World’s Worst Airport in ‘Patrol ng Pilipino’

ABS-CBN news reporter Ron Gagalac will investigate the reasons behind the delay and cancellation of numerous scheduled flights in the country this Tuesday (May 22) in “Patrol ng Pilipino.”

According to data from the Department of Transportation and Communication, the increase in the number of local flights stemmed from the low airfare rates issues by airline companies. Although the surge has done the business and tourism sectors good, runway traffic glitches have also started surfacing.

For his report, Ron flew to Davao, the province that accommodates the highest number of flights in the country. He and his news team experienced a two-hour flight delay going to Davao and a 45-minute delay going back to Manila. Incidents such as this put Ninoy Aquino International Airport on the list of ‘worst airports’ in the world.

How can the Ninoy Aquino International Airport change its image as the world’s worst airport? What are the government and the airline companies’ proposed strategies to ease runway traffic?

Meanwhile, join Atom Araullo as he dives the Tubbataha Reef, a UNESCO-named World Heritage site and the eighth most beautiful diving site in the world according to CNN.

Catch all these in “Patrol ng Pilipino” this Tuesday (May 22) after “Bandila” on ABS-CBN or watch it earlier on DZMM TeleRadyo (SkyCable Channel 26), 9: 15 p.m.

Puro kasiraan at dumi.

  5. same thing with our government officials/ politic, many of them are not doing their duties, they’re just also waiting the “easy money” thing. so where do you think our country will end up to…?

  6. i agree nor understand what you mean bro.., ‘coz i’ve been using NAIA for so many times and i also had some not soo good experience., ang pagiging “friendly” daw ng filipino ay napaka bias., at plastik. if you are filpino and you approach them, they will say “hmm, isturbo lang to” but if the foreinger approach them, they’re thinking kaagad of $$$$$. i understand that the life in our country is a bit difficult but that doesn’t mean you’ll not do good to your job. that’s why most of the time because of tose things we can’t gain respect from other countries because they’re thinking also na mga bayaran lang tayo. if you happen to travel to HK especially in SG, you’ll not think of something that would harass you, the staff of those airports are well respected, napakaganda ng sistema nila.. you will really feel their rules that applies to all regardless of color all the time.

Well, well, I’m not surprise anymore… because a few years back ? …I’ve had a really bad experience … and until now it makes my blood boil…most of the staff are unapproachable, miserable, unhelpful…kapag nakita na ang passenger e kapwa nila Filipino ? – wala na silang respect at medyo barumbado na…the tune of their voice & the look on their faces ay para silang natalo sa sugal… they should be glad & be happy because they have a job & at the end of the day, they’ll have a salary/money… I can’t forget that man who treated me like dirt … I demanded for a supervisor, manager in charge, or any authority responsible for him or that area… ? Nobody help…nobody say something…they just look at me as like a trouble maker…? Well, the fact of the matter is… I was the VICTIM …treated like a third class citizen  & treated very badly. I asked his name ?…his supervisor or manager ? …but I did not get any… I am a passenger & all my expenses…( Airline ticket, airport tax payment, the money I brought/spent back to the Phils. ? – it helps for the economy of our country (Phils)…& that man gets his salary from me ( Staff at the airport)… and the bad thing was….everytime I come home ( Phils.) …I feel uneasy, feel nervous all the time while I am at the airport… I’ve got a Phobia about them… & I’m not surprise…because there’s always something happening that I’m not happy about ? And this year I’m planning to have 3 weeks holiday to the Phils., to visit my family, relatives & friends…and I’m hoping that their ways must be different & changed for the better…? I don’t complaint anymore because it’s just a waste of my effort & time …& it makes me more upset & makes me very, very uncomfortable… To be honest , I’m not looking forward for that day…Peace be with you all.

  9. coolet_06 // May 21, 2012 at 7:15 pm //

i’m sorry to say, pero d na ako magtataka kung bakit ang NAIA ay tinagurian isa sa mga worst airports in the world… it was my first time to ride a plane, and i was kinda nervous, pagkat international flight pa ako… first time ko ding makapasok ng NAIA, and i can say, hindi talaga sya maganda… one thing that i am particular with is the CR… parang public CR lang… malayong malayo sa CR ng Abu Dhabi Airport kung san pwede ka ng matulog… dun ko palang sya macocompare kase yun palang din naman ang magandang airport na nadatnan ko….

  10. tama ka jan bro, escaping goat lang yan ng mga politiko, mas maraming contreversies mas maraming boto… they are just these devil stuffs for the upcoming election next year…i hope they could do something better for most of their community than themselves….tired of this stuff, dirty schemes, injustices, and what does it mean? with such confusion pinoys might puch themselves going abroad rather than to believe on what we can do for our own country….

  15. Kim Federico13 // May 21, 2012 at 4:27 pm //
