dapat dito sa awards nato…INDIE FILMS AWARDS! low quality naman ang karamihan sa indie kaya walang nanonood? what can you expect eh low-budgeted lang…kaso mas pinapaboran sa awards na ganito…pampalubag loob!

That’s the reason why mainstream film is distinguished from “Indie”. Indie is not slated to run commercially, but award giving bodies don’t base on how big budgeted a film is but to the story’s social relevance and it’s appeal in depicting societal reality.

Dapat iba ang category ng indie films para mas maraming ma engganyong gumawa.

czebu, you’re wrong. most of what you call low-budget films are in fact more substantial than your type of movies.

I’ve watched many indie films already and I’d say most of them are crap. Yeah, there are excellent few, but to say most of them are substantial, I can’t seem to agree. czebu is right. I think Gawad Urian is having an identity crisis. It’s torn between being an Academy Awards or Cannes Film Fest
