Meryl Streep is set to reprise her role as Miranda Priestly in the upcoming sequel to the hit comedy “The Devil Wears Prada.”
Meryl Streep earned an Oscar nomination for 2006′s “The Devil Wears Prada,” and she’s set to return as the verbally abusive runway magazine boss and slay Anne Hathaway‘s character with hard-hitting lines.
The sequel has a working title “Revenge Wears Prada: The Devil Returns” and the three-time Oscar winner told Access Hollywood that she’s willing to reprise the role but she has to lose weight first.
“But sure, I mean, I’d have to lose the [expletive] weight, but yes. I guess I would do, I would do that, yeah,” she said.
The filming for the sequel will have to weight for the release of the book which is slated to hit the shelves in April 2013.
The second installment revolves around Andy (Anne Hathaway) who is now the editor at The Plunge, a hot bridal magazine, working alongside Emily (Emily Blunt). In the process of planning her own wedding, Andy’s world collides with her stiletto-loving former boss.
