  1.  1.  WH Extended until October
     2. Showtime soon clobber Eat Bulaga
     3. According to some sources (No.1)

  2. grabi ang ratings ha!!! pang finale na talaga! thumbs up kapamilya i salute you.. proud na proud ako!

  4.  very true!

  5. wow, sooo great! congrats!!!

abs-cbn 2 ad revenue for the first quarter..7b…….kumpara sa 3b ng gma hahahaha

  9. I know GMA kept more of its money because the expenses are not that big. GMA has TV, radio, films.

ABS-CBN is a much bigger company. TV, radio, films, print, online streaming, etc.

That’s one quarter, bud plus ABS-CBN is investing almost P1 billion pesos for Digital TV whether it’s for the Japanese or European standard.

What about GMA? They claimed they allocated money for DTV but I don’t hear much noise from it… Gozon wouldn’t want that because once Mega Manila gets more channel choices, ABS-CBN is a sure option like back in the day. ABS-CBN has a disadvantage in Mega Manila (including Central Luzon) because of its reception.

People who watch GMA probably don’t have any options especially since the bulk of GMA’s viewers come from the Lower Class C, D, and E (Metro Manila).

And besides there’s more to ratings, the demographics come in such as income and ABS-CBN happens to claim more than half of the Class A, B, Upper and Middle C markets — where over half of the country’s purchasing power comes from — and why advertisers generally trust ABS-CBN in getting their product out there.

Aminin natin yan,, at alam yan ni Gozon at Duavit… kaya nga they are trying to intensify their regional network kc they are far behind ABS-CBN…. So how can you say GMA is number 1 over-all?…ESEP-ESEP!!!!!….

  23. Viewership is not based alone on TV ratings. Even sa movies, highest grossing of all time ang ABS Star Cinema. If GMa 7 is not losing, why the need to merge or sell shares to TV 5. Just asking…

  24. gusto mo ng misleading??? yung kinita ng ebs mo for the 1st of 2012 ayun nkatago s baul kc mas mababa ang kinita kaysa s GMA. yan ang totong misleading at isama mo pa pati ratings n to!!! obab!!!

  25. jajaja…so bitter….but nag.react kayo??//to the highest level pa…di ba sa survey dito panalo kayo…..so congratulations….mag.pa.dinner kayo..sa baryo niyo..jajaja

  26. pampalobag lang na absbn..jajajaja..but we all know gma talga ang number one..primetime lang na winner ang abscbn..pero daytime…talo sila…

  27. natashavilla // June 20, 2012 at 7:29 am //

and lastly the new Kantar Urban/Rural is still the same as the Kantar National but the only diffference is that the Rural ratings is already included unlike AGB who only catered to Urban Measurements both Mega Manila and NUTAM…so mas accurate na ang measurements sa Kantar ngayon..

    =P

  28. Pinoy TV Critic // June 20, 2012 at 6:42 am //

Even Forbes uses Kantar Media especially in surveying the highest earning shows. Nielsen is just a fickle of the past

  29. You need to read and be less unintelligent. Kantar has a significant amount of subscribers. GMA’s reporting is misleading…

You gotta go read some of ABS-CBN’s press releases.

  30. You’re a fool. You don’t know what you’re talking about.

The AGB and the old Kantar/TNS nationwide surveys were strictly urban hence why it’s called “National URBAN Television Audience Measurement.” AGB’s nationwide ratings only covers urban areas — which covers only 38% of total Philippines.

TNS on the other hand made it more precise by putting in rural ratings hence why it is called “Total Philippines” — it’s technically still called “National ratings” but more accurate because the ratings are being measured from representative URBAN AND RURAL areas.

One can logically say that AGB Nielsen might force to upgrade it’s sample sizes incorporating rural areas too and that would only sway the ratings to ABS-CBN’s favor

OR AGB Nielsen, which has lost some of its credibility (with issue of tampering and the Turkey ratings tampering issue), WILL lose some of its subscribers, particularly ad agencies.

Kantar has about 22 ad agencies subscribed to it. NBN (the gov’t network) is also a subscriber along with International networks like MTV and FOX.

This is revenue for ABS-CBN so get off your fucking high horse!

  31. @aaron- kaloka talga!!! ano nmn ito urban at rural rating ek ek ek!!! kc dominted n ng GMA ang national kya b iba nmn ang nakalagaya hahaha!!!

  32. @isadora- girl bitter lng!!!

  34. Fshumayrqan // June 20, 2012 at 12:34 am //
