Rising Kapuso star Bianca King is getting praises left and right for her stirring acting skill as proven by her tour de force performance in her past two starrers: "Sinner Or Saint" and "Broken Vow." She definitely passed the test playing the role of Noemi Manansala and Melissa Santiago, respectively.

Both directors of the soaps noted that Bianca could easily adapt to varying characterizations. “What I love most about my role is the raw acting it required. We didn’t use a studio that aids the actors,” she pointed out in recalling “Sinner Or Saint.”

“Broken Vow” director Gil Tejada Jr. credited Bianca’s competence as largely the reason as to the success of the series, punctuated by high ratings that extended its run to six weeks from the original timetable. It aired its finale mid-June, ensuring a busy productive year for Bianca as she likewise appeared as young Isabel in “Legacy” and lead starred in Spooky episodes “Kasambahay” and “Maestro,” convincingly delivering her characters Laura and Elena, in that order.

She is now portraying the grown-up Luna in the ongoing “Luna Blanca” where Jillian Ward is her little girl equivalent.

The GMA Artist Center acting revelation recently finished her digital filmmaking degree from De La Salle-College of St. Benilde, which practically means she’s readier to embrace directing. She had done short films on her way to graduation and worked on past videos for songs by Hale and Somedaydream. She likes working with friends on the set, small wonder that Richard Gutierrez, Heart Evangelista, and Gwen Zamora already appeared on her music videos.

A self-confessed homebody, Bianca directed the music video for Frencheska Farr’s single “Today I’ll See the Sun” with her townhouse and its surrounding neighborhood as setting, providing her the opportunity to deliver a good job almost without having to get off that laid-back feeling of being at home.

If given the luxury, she’d rather stay at her cozy house in Taguig and spend time with her poodles: Burger and Amelie. She told an entertainment writer, “I’ve always had a pet. I bathe them myself. I feed them, train them.”
