Anthony Sedlak Dies from an Undiagnosed Medical Condition

Anthony Sedlak, a celebrity chef on Food Network Canada, died on Friday, July 6, after collapsing from an undiagnosed medical condition.

Anthony Sedlak was only 29 years old. He was found dead in his apartment in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Sedlak was host of the cooking program “The Main” which airs on Food Network Canada and also a judge on the network’s reality cooking competition “Family Cook Off.” His book “The Main,” which is also the title of his TV program, became a bestseller in Canada.

Sedlak also helped to open The American Cheesesteak Co. restaurant in Vancouver earlier this year. His latest project involved reinventing the restaurants and room service menus at the Toronto Don Valley Hotel & Suites.

Food Network Canada has released a statement on Anthony Sedlak’s death which goes:

“This morning we received tragic news that Anthony Sedlak had passed away. We would like to extend our deepest sympathies to Anthony’s family during this difficult time.

“Anthony became a much loved member of the Food Network family, entertaining and inspiring fans through four seasons of The Main and his latest venture, Family Cook-Off.

“It was our privilege to have worked with him. His passing is a terrible loss and he will be sadly missed by all of us.”

Sedlak is known for his warm personality, passion for his craft and skill in the kitchen.
