More than 100 contestants from around the globe are arriving in Ordos, Mongolia, for the 62nd Miss World pageant. Check out the early favorites to win the crown!

19-year-old Shani Hazan from Israel is being considered by pageant enthusiasts as the early front-runner in the 62nd Miss World Pageant which is currently being held in Ordos, Mongolia in China.

Aside from Miss Israel, Mariana Berumen from Mexico is also getting early buzz.

But of course, the winner of Miss World is now being based on a point system wherein the contestants should perform well in the following pre-coronation activities:

Beach Beauty
Sports and Fitness
Top Model
Multimedia Award
Beauty with a Purpose Award
Performing Talent *
Designer Award *

If you’re a pageant enthusiast, you might have noticed the addition of the multimedia award. Each contestant will have a section in the Miss World website (www.missworld.com) where they will be able to update their supporters with their own photo and video uploads. They can also interact with their fans via various social networks. Contestants will be judged on how they present their web section. The best presentation will earn fast-track points on the Miss World score board.

Meanwhile, the talent* portion is no longer a point-earning activity for the candidates as well as with the Designer award* and the national costume.

July 18: Contestants arrive in Ordos (Crowne Plaza)
July 19-23: Contestant training, auditions, filming and rehearsals
July 24: Ordos Welcome and Miss World 2012 Opening Ceremony
July 25: Ordos – Hong Kong (afternoon flight)
July 26-28: Hong Kong city tour, contestant introductions, presentation by Inner Mongolia Tourism
July 28: Hong Kong – Sanya (morning flight)
July 28-30: Sanya city tour, beachwear filming
July 31-Aug 2: Shanghai city tour, contestant introductions, presentation by Inner Mongolia Tourism and Miss World Charity Dinner (contestants stay at Peace Hotel)
Aug 2: Travel to Ordos (Seven Star Lake Resort)
Aug 3: Beachwear filming (The Dunes)
Aug 4: Miss World Beach Beauty Final (Seven Star Lake Resort)
Aug 6: Miss World Sportswomen Final (Miss World library donation)
Aug 7-9: Return to Crowne Plaza, rehearsals for main show
Aug 10: Miss World Talent Final, Ordos Charity Dinner
