J Rome was declared champion of the first season of the ABC reality singing competition "Duets." Fil-Am Jason Farol finished 3rd.

Throughout the season, J Rome has been consistent with his performances as he topped the leaderboard week after week. His mentor was Jennifer Nettles.

Fil-Am Jason Farol has a different journey. He is the most inexperienced among the contestants and he started off at the bottom of the leaderboard but he managed to improve week after week. As he gained confidence on each episode, he made it to the show’s finale where he was named 3rd placer. His mentor was Kelly Clarkson.
