More Filipinos tuned in to ABS-CBN’s live coverage of President Benigno ‘Noynoy’ Aquino III’s third State of the Nation Address last Monday (July 23) at the Batasang Pambansa.

ABS-CBN’s “Ulat sa Bayan: Ang Ika-3 SONA ni Pangulong Benigno S. Aquino III” scored a national TV rating of 15%, or almost six points higher than GMA’s “SONA 2012” with only 9.2%, based on data from Kantar Media that covers urban and rural areas in the country. Veteran broadcast journalist Korina Sanchez anchored the live coverage from the studio, while Lynda Jumilla led other ABS-CBN news reporters in delivering fresh updates before and after the SONA straight from Batasan. ABS-CBN’s media platforms Studio 23, ANC, and DZMM TeleRadyo also delivered live coverages of the SONA to free TV and cable TV subscribers.
