From 172 to 68 to 20, The X Factor Philippines trimmed down the contestants to 12 who will make it to the live shows beginning this Satuday, August 4, 2012.

From last week’s Top 20, The X Factor Philippines judges Pilita Corrales (Over 25 mentor) and guest mentor Rico J Puno , Martin Nieverra (Boys mentor) with guest mentor Arnel Pineda, Charice (Girls mentor) with The Voice finalist Cheesa Laureta and Gary Valenciano (Group mentor) and guest mentor Jed Madela, each chose their Top 3 contenders who will move on to the live shows of the competition starting next week.
