According to reports, the highly-coveted role for Star Cinema's film adaptation of Mars Ravelo's most-loved graphic novel goes to...Angel Locsin!

In the last couple of days, speculations about who will star on Star Cinema’s movie version of Mars Ravelo‘s most popular creation–Darna–became a hot topic on social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter.

Since ABS-CBN acquired the exclusive rights to make a TV and movie adaptation of 13 Mars Ravelo titles including the most-loved heroine, fans have started campaigning for their idols for the coveted role. Names like Maja Salvador, Sarah Geronimo, KC Concepcion, Bea Alonzo, Kim Chiu surmised.

In the end, the role goes to Angel Locsin!

This is according to a report by Jhai’Ho on his DZMM program “Showbiz Mismo.”

Star Cinema, however, has no OFFICIAL announcement yet regarding this development nor they confirm that “Darna” will be made into another movie instead of a TV series on ABS-CBN.
