Chris Cayzer Makes It to Round 3 of ‘The X Factor Australia’

Last week, a video clip of Chris Cayzer's audition on "The X Factor Australia" became viral. This week, he made past the group round!

The last time we’ve seen Filipino-Australian Chris Cayzer here in the country was on TV5’s youth-oriented series “BFGF” and the now defunct Sunday noontime variety show “PO5.” The was in 2010.

Last year, he returned to Australia. And last week, we found out that he auditioned in the Aussie version of the reality singing competition “The X Factor” where his take on Vanessa Carlton‘s “A Thousand Miles” became a YouTube sensation.

This week, Cayzer competed in the group round of “The X Factor” Australia during the Super Boot Camp, which aired on Tuesday night.

Unfortunately, the group where Cayzer belong, was lambasted by the judges because of their poor rendition of “You Get What You Give” by New Radicals.

Judge Guy Sebastian, the only one who didn’t vote for Cayzer during the auditions, singled-out the Filipino-Australian.

“I didn’t get Chris. There’s a certain ceiling and Chris can’t get past it. He doesn’t have the X factor,” he said.

But Cayzer is an early favorite in the show. Despite the judges’ disappointment of him during the group round, he made it through the next round!

And as a proof that Cayzer already has a following among Australian televiewers, fans flocked the X Factor mall show in Queensland over the weekend to see him sing his audition song “A Thousand Miles” and they were all screaming at him!
