‘Dolphy Alay Tawa’ Tribute Concert Unites ABS-CBN, GMA-7 and TV5 Big Bosses and Stars

A momentous show in honor of the late Comedy King, Dolphy, was held on September 19 at the SM MOA Arena where the brightest stars from ABS-CBN, GMA-7 and TV5 have united to benefit worthy causes. Check out tons of photos from the event!

In Dolphy Alay Tawa, top-notch Filipino artists from the three major networks, GMA7, ABSCBN and TV5 collaborated in this musical tribute to the King of Philippine Comedy. Stars who took centerstage of the Mall of Asia Arena were Sharon Cuneta, Martin Nievera, Ai-Ai Delas Alas, Melai Cantiveros, Angeline Quinto, Janno Gibbs, Gary Valenciano, Kimpee de Leon, Wendell Ramos, Aljur Abrenica, Daniel Matsunaga, Nikki Gil, Rachelle Ann Go, Happy Feet, Jolina Magdangal, Arci Munoz, Mark Herras, Gab Valenciano, Rayver Cruz, Ruby Rodriguez, Ogie Alcasid, the Quizon Brothers among others.

Stars who made an appearance were Maricel Soriano, Marian Rivera, Derek Ramsay, Billy Crawford, Dennis Trillo, Ryan Agoncillo, Raymond Gutierrez, Ruffa Gutierrez, Heart Evangelista, Boy Abunda, Paulo Bediones, Vicky Morales, Roderick Paulate, Karylle, Judy Ann Santos and Nora Aunor. Vic Sotto, Vilma Santos, Manny Pangilinan, Atty. Felipe Gozon and Eugenio Lopez Jr. also paid tribute to Dolphy via a VTR presentation.

Filipino Entertainment legends Ms. Gloria Romero, Mr. Eddie Garcia, Ms. Rosa Rosal, Mr. Eddie Gutierrez, Ms. Daisy Romualdez, and Ms. Susan Roces also made a special appearance to pay special tribute to the late Dolphy.

With its themes and narratives taken from the book “Hindi Ko Ito Narating Mag-Isa”, authored by Bibeth Orteza who is also the show’s scriptwriter, the concert entertained the audience and commemorated Dolphy as the entertainer, a showbiz icon, a legend and a comedy king.

The Dolphy Alay Tawa was produced by Dolphy Aid Para Sa Pinoy Foundation in cooperation with PLDT, Bench and Pagcor. Concert proceeds will go to various causes sponsored by the Dolphy Aid Para Sa Pinoy Foundation, Inc., such as the Philippine Red Cross, Friends of Hope, Inc., and Eye Bank Foundation of the Philippines.
