It's the end of the road for Nueva Ecija's Shelly Hipolito as she was eliminated from GMA-7’s "Protégé: The Battle For The Big Artista Break" on Sunday, September 23, 2012.

16-year-old Shelly is the protégé of veteran actor Ricky Davao. She was joined by Bryan Benedict and Japs De Luna in the bottom three. She was sent home after getting the lowest text votes and judges’ score.

Prior to Shelly’s elimination, the 9 protégés were divided into 3 groups. Each one of them performed with a Kapuso star.

Group 1 performed hits of the Black Eyed Peas:

Thea Tolentino – Alden Richards
Japs de Luna – Winwyn Marquez
Bryan Benedict – Kris Bernal

Group 2 performed Katy Perry songs:

Mikoy Morales – Julie Anne San Jose
Elle Ramirez – Mark Herras
Ruru Madrid – Barbie Forteza

Group 3 performed David Guetta songs:

Shelly Hipolito – Rocco Nacino
Zandra Summer – Aljur Abrenica
Jeric Gonzales – Louise delos Reyes

8 contestants, 5 boys and 3 girls, continue their Protégé journey.
