2012 Ryder Cup Airs Live Via Satellite on Balls

One of the most thrilling and most-watched events in the world of sports, The Ryder Cup is a once-in-every-2-years showdown between golf's two biggest powerhouses the United States and Europe. It will air live on Balls on September 28 to 30 from the Medinah Country Club in Medinah, Illinois, United States.

The Ryder Cup is a match play event between golfers selected from Team Europe and Team USA, with each match worth one point. On the first two days there will be 4 foursome matches and 4 fourball matches each and on the last day there will be 12 single matches. To win the cup, 14½ points must be gained by USA out of the 28 points available while the title holder, Europe must gain 14 points to retain its title.

Europe, the defending Cup champion defeated USA by 14 ½ points to 13 ½ points in the 2010 competition in Celtic Manor Resort in Wales.
