KZ Tandingan is the 1st Winner of ‘The X Factor Philippines’
The 21-year-old singer from Digos City bested Gabriel Maturan and the group Daddy’s Home by receiving the most number of online and text votes.
Mentored by Charice throughout the season, KZ sang Karen Carpenter’s “Superstar” during the last performance show.
As the winner, she took home P4 million worth of prize package which includes a recording contract with Star Records.
Placing second to KZ was Gabriel Maturan from Martin Nievera‘s Boys Category. He got P100,000 in cash.
Third placer was Daddy’s Home of the Groups Category mentored by Gary Valenciano. They received P50,000 in cash.

KZ Tandingan – 54.77%
Gabriel Maturan – 32.33%
Daddy’s Home – 12.90%

mas malinao kasi signal ng gme sa mega manila … pero majority naman ng viwers nila class c,d and e wait na lang tayo kapag my signal na ang NTC for digital tv. clear na ang signal ng dos… sa q.c. start na u test nila kaya dito sa amin sa clear na ang signal ng 2 .. dyan matakot ang gme kasi maging equal na ang signal ng lahat na station …kaya ayaw ng gme mag digital treaten kc sila … sila na lang yata ang di pa ready .. wala pa budget . kasi puro flop ang movies nila this 2012 …
She truly deserve the award.
Expected yan kay KZ at Gab. Trending na yan noon pa basta galing Visayas at Mindanao ang mga finalists where ABS-CBN reigns supreme. At dahil sa galing ni KZ, most parts of Luzon also voted for her. And probably a few from Mega Manila which is allegedly GMA’s turf. Kaya nga siguro mahina ang Daddy’s Home kasi mostly daw ng Mega Manila viewers ay makaGMA.
Just as I predicted …courtesy of the vote-rich Visayas and Mindanao and of the rest of Luzon who did not have someone else to vote.
