Sen. Angara Strikes Back on Protesters of Cybercrime Law

The Supreme Court recently issued a temporary restraining order (TRO) against the controversial Republic Act 10175 or popularly known as Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.

Amid the non-stop debates and protests, the law’s principal author Senator Edgardo Angara will bravely take the hot seat in “The Bottomline With Boy Abunda” this Saturday (October 13) to clarify the various issues connected to cybercrime. What are the main concerns raised in R.A. 10175? Why are the public, particularly the online community, against it? Despite the TRO and the different petitions questioning its legality, does Sen. Angara still believe that the Philippines need a law like the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012? Don’t miss the ‘Ani ng Dangal 2012′ awardee “The Bottomline with Boy Abunda” this Saturday, 11:30 pm, after “Banana Split” on ABS-CBN.
