Ritz Azul Gains More Admirers after the Release of Her Sizzling FHM Cover

Ritz Azul admitted that she had no boyfriend since birth but after her sexy cover for FHM Philippines' November 2012 came out, she revealed that a number of admirers started to make their presence felt.

TV5 Princess and FHM’s November covergirl Ritz Azul greeted her fans who lined up during the magazine’s autograph-signing event at the Robinson’s Galleria on Saturday, November 10, 2012.

Fans flocked at Robinson’s Galleria for Ritz Azul’s FHM autograph signing event last Saturday, November 10.

Fans of the country’s leading men’s magazine were delighted to see the young TV5 star in the flesh since they’ve been clamoring for her to appear on FHM cover. This is because when news that Azul is the featured FHM covergirl this November, they got excited to see her in person.

Some of them already got their chance to see the Kapatid star during the official launch of the November issue last October 30 at FHM’s Halloween Bash held at the Palladium in New World Renaissance Hotel Makati. It was on this event that Azul unveiled the highly-anticipated cover to the delight of the ecstatic crowd. It also marked the first time that the 18-year old actress posed sexy on the cover of a men’s magazine.

Prior to the meet and greet event, Ritz Azul graced a pocket interview with the entertainment press earlier that day where she shared her excitement for this new chapter in her burgeoning career.

She also revealed that she did not expect to grace a men’s magazine cover and project a sexy image this early most specially that she hadn’t had a boyfriend since birth.

But it was Direk Mac Alejandre who convinced her to do it.

“Actually, nung una, tumatanggi po ako, ayoko talaga. Pero mineeting ako nina Direk Mac ng TV5. Kinonvince ako ni Direk Mac,” she said.

“Pero siyempre, nahirapan pa rin ako kasi hindi ako sanay magpa-sexy,” she added.

Eventually, the TV5 Princess is happy with the results of the pictorial and all the photos that were used on the cover and inside pages of the magazine were all shot in “good taste,” according to her.

It was then that she realized that she made the right decision because it’s also the perfect time for her to grace the FHM cover while she’s still “young and fresh.”

The press people also asked Ritz if she’s now ready to have a boyfriend since she’s turning 19 years old this January. The Kapatid star said that career is her priority for the meantime. However, she revealed that she gained more admirers, showbiz and non-showbiz guys, after the release of the much-talked about FHM November issue.

Is fellow Kapatid star Martin Escudero one of these admirers? Ritz said that the young actor is just her “closest” male friend.

Meanwhile, Ritz is set to become Derek Ramsay‘s leading lady in “Kidlat,” the upcoming superhero series on TV5.

In the series, she will play the role of Josephine “Joey” Palomares, an orphan who lives with her aunt and takes care of her nephews and nieces. She describes her character “boyish” and “raketista” who will later meet the superhero “Kidlat” played by Derek Ramsay.

Aside from Derek, she also hopes to work with and become a leading lady of Bossing Vic Sotto and veteran actor Eddie Gutierrez.

Surprised with the answer, the press people asked why.

“Kasi parang ‘pag nakatrabaho mo sila parang marami akong matututunan and baguhan ako so kailangan ko rin sila sa pundasyon.

“Marami akong natututunan sa kanila ‘pag napapanood ko sila, then advises, hihingi ako, ganun,” she said.

Ritz is currently seen on TV5’s hit comedy show “Kapitan Awesome.” and next year, find out if she will also tackle a superhero role in the much-anticipated primetime series “Kidlat.”
