‘Pinoy True Stories Presents: Bistado’ Premieres on December 3

Broadcast journalist Julius Babao exposes the story of helpless siblings sexually abused by their own father in the premiere offering of “Bistado” this Monday (Dec 3) as part of ABS-CBN’s newest afternoon current affairs block, “Pinoy True Stories.”

“Bistado” aims to uncover cases of abuse, neglect or cruelty, as well as corrupt practices in the government and the various modus operandi of criminals. It is one of the five new weekday afternoon programs of ABS-CBN News and Current Affairs in its efforts to make public service more accessible to Filipino audiences.

Get to know the 16-year-old “Daisy” who was repeatedly molested by her very own father while living in a far, isolated island in Punta Tarawal, Camarines Sur. The young girl remained mum about the abuses done to her after her father threatened to kill her siblings if she will ask help from authorities.

But what triggered “Daisy” to seek help from “Bistado”? How would authorities punish the abusive father?

Don’t miss the premiere offering of “Pinoy True Stories” in “Bistado” this Monday (Dec 3), 4:45 p.m. after “A Gentleman’s Dignity” on ABS-CBN. For updates on the program, visit www.abs-cbnnews.com/currentaffairs.
