Sarah Geronimo was chosen by the Philippine Army to become its "Bayanihan" Ambassador to encourage the young people to help in the government's peace and development projects.

“Sarah Geronimo is tapped as the Bayanihan ambassadress because she is a perfect role model for the youth. She has remained humble despite her lofty status,” Philippine Army spokesman Maj. Harold Cabunoc said during the launch of the security plan’s music video last Wednesday at the Army headquarters in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.

The security plan’s theme song “Bayanihan: Para sa Kapayapaan,” which was interpreted by the Popstar Princess, was composed by Lady Chatterly Alvaro-Sumbeling and arranged by Dodoy Ongleo.

According to reports, Sarah Geronimo waived her P10 million talent fee for singing the theme song and appearing on the music video after she learned that the project was for the government’s peach advocacy.
