Derek Ramsay's costume for his upcoming superhero series "Kidlat" was revealed on a giant billboard in Guadalupe on December 16, Sunday night. The costume was said to be designed by a Hollywood-based designer who worked on “X-Men” and “Daredevil”.

Aside from the unveiling of the “Kidlat” billboard featuring Derek Ramsay in his superhero costume, Ramsay himself made his first public appearance wearing the said costume–on top of the billboard!

According to a report by Interaksyon, Ramsay hovered horizontally across the billboard, suspended by harnesses that moved him to and fro.

In “Kidlat,” the 33-year-old hunk actor will tackle the titular role of a man coming to terms with the responsibility of having a strange superpower. This is Ramsay’s first teleserye on TV5 and also his first time to portray a superhero, ever.

Ramsay’s leading ladies in the upcoming superserye are Kapatid drama princesses Ritz Azul and Nadine Samonte. Other cast-members include Wendell Ramos, Joy Viado, Jay Manalo, and Baron Geisler. Mike Tuviera, director of the Kapuso teleserye “Faithfully” and “The Good Daughter,” is at the helm.

“Kidlat” is all set to premiere on January 6, 2013 and it will air from Monday to Friday at 6:30pm on TV5.
