It's official! "Sisterakas" has beaten the box office record of "Praybeyt Benjamin" to become the highest-grossing Filipino movie of all time. The comedy movie from Star Cinema and Viva Films is also hailed as the highest-grossing MMFF movie of all time.

No less than Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chairman Francis Tolentino confirmed earlier today, January 8, that the Ai Ai delas Alas, Vice Ganda and Kris Aquino starrer has hit P340 million at the box office.

“Baka umabot pa sila (Sisterakas) ng P350 million. Siguro ngayon pumapalo na sila between P340 million to P350 million kasi hanggang gabi pa siya,” he said.

“Sisterakas” has beaten the P331.61-M box office record of “The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin,” which was also a co-production of Star Cinema and Viva Films, also directed by Wenn Deramas, and also starred Vice Ganda in 2011. It’s now hailed as the highest-grossing Filipino movie of all time and the highest-grossing MMFF movie of all time.
