Movie Info: For a decade, an elite team of intelligence and military operatives, working in secret across the globe, devoted themselves to a single goal: to find and eliminate Osama bin Laden. Zero Dark Thirty reunites the Oscar winning team of director-producer Kathryn Bigelow and writer-producer Mark Boal (The Hurt Locker) for the story of history’s greatest manhunt for the world’s most dangerous man. –Official Site

The Positive: The action sequences in this film are riveting and suspenseful, and it also succeeds as a straight-up historical document of the hunt for Osama Bin Laden. Bigelow is such a meticulous director I’m still wondering why she was snubbed at the Oscars.

However, if the Academy is a little bent in choosing a thriller movie for Best Picture this year, then “Argo” and “Zero Dark Thirty” are neck and neck.

Furthermore, Jessica Chastain’s performance as a dedicated CIA operative is a revelation.

The Negative: Just like “Les Miserables,” this film may as well be criticized for being too long.

Memorable Line: “In the end, bro, everybody breaks. It’s biology.”
