TV5 is proud to announce that Extreme Makeover: Home Edition Philippines (EMHE Philippines) was recently a Finalist to the 2013 New York Festivals International Television & Film Awards (more commonly known as the New York Festivals). Hosted by seasoned host and TV personality Paolo Bediones, EMHE Philippines was shortlisted among entries from over 50 countries.

EMHE Philippines is among the Finalists under the Festivals’ Television-Regularly Scheduled Entertainment Program – Real Estate/Home Improvement category. Based on the original Endemol worldwide TV hit, the Philippine edition proved that lives can indeed be changed one home at a time.

“TV5 is humbled with this recognition from the 2013 New York Festivals for Extreme Makeover: Home Edition Philippines. We are proud that this show was able to set a new standard in public service and reality television,” said TV5 FVP for Creative and Entertainment Production Perci Intalan. “Being recognized for our work not only confirms the Network’s commitment to quality programming. It also strengthens our collective resolve to revolutionize the way all Kapatids experience TV,” he added.

In carrying out the show’s mission, Bediones is joined by the program’s own Design Team: interior designer and socialite-philanthropist Tessa Prieto-Valdez, fashion model Divine Lee, professional interior designer Tristan Jovellana, and interior design consultants Marilen Faustino-Montenegro and Joby Belmonte.

The 2013 Festivals’ Grand Trophy winners will be awarded in April in the US.
