Robin Padilla surprised Mariel Rodriguez when he appeared live on TV5's noontime show "Wowowillie" on Thursday, February 7, to make his wife wear their wedding ring, again.

Apparently, Mariel Rodriguez got very jealous when she saw the wedding and honeymoon scene of Robin Padilla and Kris Aquino on last Tuesday’s episode of his husband’s teleserye on ABS-CBN, “Kailangan Ko’y Ikaw” (CLICK HERE FOR RELATED ARTICLE). Mariel was so affected by the love scene on the said episode that she returned her wedding ring to Robin. She also expressed her feelings of jealousy on her Instagram account where some netizens bashed her posts.

Yesterday, February 7, Robin made a surprise visit to his wife at the backstage of “Wowowillie.” But Willie Revillame called the Kapamilya action star to grace the stage to air his piece.

Robin aired his disappointment towards his wife’s bashers on social media.

“Kailangan po akong biglaang pumunta dito sapagkat gusto ko lamang pong ipagtanggol ang asawa ko. Kawawa po ang asawa ko dahil halos ipako na siya sa krus sa social media. Masyado na po siyang aping api. Siguro naman po lahat ng babae dito maniniwala sa akin na ang asawa ko natural lamang na magselos at hindi masama ang magselos dahil ang ibig sabihin nun, mahal niya ako,” he said.

Robin revealed that Mariel returned her wedding ring to him after their altercation.

“Alam mo Kuya Willie, Kuya Willie muna kahit magka-batch tayo. Masyado pong seryoso ang nangyari sa amin. Katunayan, isinoli sa akin ‘yung singsing. Hindi ako nagbibiro, at ‘yung ibang tao akala nakikipaglokohan ang asawa ko, hindi ho, hindi ho kami marunong makipagbolahan,” he said.

Robin also called out wife’s bashers.

“Totoo lahat ang nararamdaman ng asawa ko kaya sana ho kung sino man ang mga naninira at sinasaktan ang asawa ko, pasalamat ka hindi kita makita sa TV, pasalamat ka, kasi social media ang tatapang ng mga tao diyan kasi hindi sila nakikita,” he said.

Then on bended knees, Robin asked Mariel to accept his “ring of love” for the second time.
