Director Dado Lumibao is excited with the nearing launch of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla's launching movie titled "Must Be...Love," which is set to hit cinemad nationwide on March 13 (Wednesday).

Aside from being his first full length film, Direk Dado is proud of “Must Be…Love” as it features the strong onscreen chemistry of the sensational love team that he first directed in ABS-CBN’s hit primetime TV series “Princess and I.”

“Sakto kila Kathryn at Daniel ang kuwento ng ‘Must Be…Love,’ which is about transformation, hindi lang physically kundi sa loob mismo,” shared Direk Dado, who described the movie as a masterpiece overflowing with young romance. “Sa ‘Princess and I’ ang character ni Kathryn medyo kimi at mahiyain pagdating sa love, tapos si Daniel naman may pagkabrusko ng konti. Dito sa ‘Must Be…Love’ mas nag-loosen up ‘yung characters and at the same time mas nagkaroon sila ng lalim dahil sa mga pinagdaanan nila Patchot (Kathryn) at Ivan (Daniel).”

According to Direk Dado, it was not only the characters of Kathryn and Daniel that transformed, but the themselves as actors. “Nakita ko ‘yung transformation ni Kathryn as an actress. Ngayon, hindi na siya awkward unlike dati na conscious na conscious siya sa hitsura niya,” the director explained. “Sa ‘Must Be…Love’ kasi deglamorized siya at pinapangit namin sa simula so good thing na nawala ‘yung pagiging conscious ni Kathryn sa hitsura niya.”

Despite the transformation in their depth in acting, nothing changed about the extraordinary onscreen magic of KathNiel (Kathryn-Daniel) love team because it is overflowing in “Must Be…Love.”

“Sila kasing dalawa kapag pinagdikit mo pa lang nandun na ‘yung natural chemistry. Pareho silang charming, pareho silang kapag tinitingnan mo ay parang hindi sila mga artista na mahirap abutin,” said Direk Dado. “Ang magic ng tambalan nila ay ‘yung nakaka-relate sa kanila ‘yung audience. Mas minamahal sila ng publiko dahil parang sa pamamagitan nila nare-realize ng viewers na ‘pwede rin akong makahanap ng isang Daniel’ o ‘pwede rinakong maging isang Kathryn.”

“Must Be…Love” is a romantic movie filled with romance and a feel-good story that conveys the statement, ‘Be True To Yourself.’

Aside from Kathryn and Daniel, also part of “Must Be…Love” are Liza Soberano, John Estrada, John Lapus, Miguel Morales, Kit Thompson, Ramon Christopher, Janus del Prado, Sharlene San Pedro, Paul Salas, Cacai Bautista and Arlene Muhlach.

“Must Be…Love” is written by Mae Chua and Melai Monge, under the guidance of Star Cinema’s award-winning writer Vanessa Valdez.
