‘It Takes a Man and a Woman’ Surpasses the Box Office Gross of ‘A Moment in Time’ and ‘Must Be…Love’ in Just 2 Days

The joint project of Star Cinema and Viva Films--"It Takes A Man and a Woman"--registered a two-day gross of P65 million, surpassing the box office performance of "A Moment in Time" which had P64.54 million in 4 weeks and "Must Be...Love" which registered P60.74 million in 2 weeks.

The romantic-comedy movie which is the final installment in the “Laida-Miggy” series of films starring John Lloyd Cruz and Sarah Geronimo is on track to beat the box-office record of “Sisterakas” which currently holds the record for being the highest-grossing Filipino film of all time.

The figure was announced by Roxy Liquigan and Mico del Rosario of Star Cinema via a report by abs-cbnnews.com.

“It Takes a Man and a Woman,” which was graded ‘A’ by the Cinema Evaluation Board (CEB), scored a whopping P32.6 million on its opening day on Black Saturday and hauled around P32.4 million on Easter Sunday.

The first two films in the series made John Lloyd Cruz and Sarah Geronimo the Box Office King and Queen, respectively. The first film, “A Very Special Love,” made P179.3 million in 2008. The sequel “You Changed My Life” grossed P225.2 million in 2009. Both films are in the list of the Top 10 Highest-Grossing Filipino Movie Of All Time.
