During the press conference for “Face to Face”‘s upcoming 3rd Anniversary week-long celebration, the entertainment press asked returning host Amy Perez and current host Gelli de Belen their opinions about current showbiz issues, particularly the feud between Heart Evangelista and her parents.

Being the moderator of the talakserye, Amy and Gelli responded without taking sides.

“E, ganyan talaga ang magulang. Dahil sa kanilang pagmamalasakit sa kanilang mga anak, may pangaral sila sa kanilang mga anak na gusto nilang mangyari, which is their right because they are the parents. And of course, si Heart, buhay niya naman iyon and she’s of age, it’s really up to her,” Gelli said.

She also added that as hosts of “Face to Face,” they are not allowed to take sides.

“Ang payo ko na lang ay kung maaayos na hindi kinakailangan na ipinamamalita sa buong mundo, mas maigi siguro para mas tahimik. Kasi pag mas maraming nasasabi, mas maraming nasasaktan. Pag nagkabati, meron nang nalamat na mga relasyon,” was her unsolicited advice.

“If magkatuluyan man si Chiz at saka si Heart, it’s their life. E, kung hindi, if she chose to listen to her parents, which will be okay also. Ayusin na lang nila privately, since maraming nadadamay. ‘Pag nagsasalita, lalaki ang gulo. Baka mamaya, yung pinsala, hindi na talaga maayos,” she added.

Amy agreed to what Gelli said and also shared her two cents on the issue.

“Siguro if you’re going to ask us that question at nasa edad kami ng 26, 27, baka maging iba yung sagot namin. But we are answering that question now, coming from a parent’s point of view. Magulang na rin kami at nanay kami pareho na mga lalaki ang mga anak namin pareho. So, siguro tama yung sinabi ni Gelli na hindi matatapos yung pagiging magulang natin,” she said.
