Get to know the 9 contestants vying to become the first ever "Luto-Negosyo" star on TV5's newest reality cooking-business competition "Karinderya Wars."

The 9 contestants are:

wiser. She’s now a stay-in cook for a small eatery and
wishes to put up her own business someday.

CESAR ENRIQUEZ
“Singing Cook”
23 years old
Valenzuela

At a young age, Cesar learned about responsibilities
the hard way. He knew that he should strive hard
being the eldest child. A frustrated singer and a
passionate cook, he makes the kitchen his stage and
every dish a performance.

ROSE ESTANOL
“kusinerang Katipunera”

A small cook with a big heart, Rose serves “Mga
Iskolar ng Bayan” every day. She’s proud to contribute
to their dreams by offering affordable, nutritious
meals.

MARY JANE AHUNCIACION
“Kikay Kusinera”
29 years old
Pampanga

KW_Mary Jane

“Heart attack” best describes Mary Jane’s plan of
action, as she specializes in Pinoy favorites sisig and
kare-kare. She almost had her own heart attack after
facing stumbling blocks in her marriage. Now, she
strives hard to have enough money in order to get her
children back.

RONA DELA ROSA
“Hottie Kusinera”
29 years old
Antipolo City

A girl who practically grew up in the kitchen, Rona
looks up to her mother who’s a great cook. She
started by selling snack items and her business grew
in no time. With her degree in HRM, she’s ready to
conquer the food industry.

SHARLITO “SHA-SHA” RESIMOLO

Mindanao

Hailing from Mindanao, Sha-sha is prepared for every
challenge life has to offer. Due to his hard work and
natural talent in the kitchen, different establishments
constantly pirated him. He started with a monthly
income of PhP1500 and now earns as much as
PhP9000.

AASISH MIRPURI
“kusinerong may Anghang”
41 years old
Salcedo Village, Makati

Born in India and raised in Iloilo, Aasish thinks he has
his spices down pat. A reluctant cook, he gained
newfound respect for culinary arts when his business
partner moved back to India, leaving him in Manila to
rediscover his Northern Indian roots.

With his charming looks and sculpted physique,
people might think that Aiman had it easy. But this
young father has had his own share of hardships. He
hopes to provide a brighter future for his kids by
opening a small diner.

A former student of UP Conservatory of Music and DJ
in Cebu, Agot aims for a smoother melody in life.
Things were going well for his small business, until a
popular fastfood chain opened on his turf. His shortlived
success in his venture pushed him to dream
bigger.

Hosted by actor/entrepreneur Marvin Agustin, “Karinderya Wars” premieres on April 8 (Monday) and will air weekdays at 11:15am on TV5.
