Anthony Taberna Helps 3 Call Center Agents Sue an Illegal Recruiter in ‘Demandahan’

Broadcast journalist Anthony Taberna helps three call center agents who were duped by an illegal recruiter find legal help in “Pinoy True Stories: Demandahan” this Thursday (May 2).

Ramses and two other job seekers worked as call center agents without signing a contract for a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) company that promised to pay them P15,000 a month. Their employer, however, told them they would receive their salary a month after they started working.

After waiting for a month, they did not receive their salary and instead, were offered another opportunity to train abroad. Shortly after signing a bi-monthly salary schedule agreement, their employer disappeared with neither salary nor news about their trip.

Join Anthony Taberna as he accompanies Ramses to Atty. Ryan Quan to seek advice as to how he and his colleagues could legally demand for this swindler. In this episode, the implementing rules of the Labor Code of the Philippines will be explained in detail.

What pieces of evidence are needed to strengthen their claim? When will they receive the money they worked hard for?
