One week before the May 13 polls, ABS-CBN’s "Bayan Mo, iPatrol Mo: Tayo Na" rounds up citizens to vote and fight for clean and honest elections via its Bus ng Bayan that will tour around Metro Manila this Monday (May 6).

The BMPM Bus ng Bayan will have ABS-CBN anchors Atom Araullo, and Jing Castaneda, and Tambayan 101.9 DJs Bea and Chacha on-board. The BMPM Team will visit different barangays and schools to pick-up Bayan Patrollers in Barangay Commonwealth in Quezon City, STI in Taguig, Barangay Sta. Ana in Manila, and Luneta Park.

It will culminate in a mini-concert at the ABS-CBN Center Road at 5:30 PM, featuring performances by Itchyworms, Rivermaya, KZ Tandingan, Ney Dimaculangan, Silent Sanctuary, and many more. It will also mark the historic Pledge for Change, a symbol declaration of commitment where the attendees pledge for clean and honest elections.

The BMPM Bus ng Bayan, which will also be staged simultaneously in Cebu and Davao, will remind citizens not only to participate in the elections but also announce last minute reminders of what they should do on May 13.

Named “Boto Mo, iPatrol Mo” in 2007 and “Boto Mo iPatrol Mo: Ako ang Simula” in 2010, BMPM pioneered citizen journalism in the country, empowered Filipinos to use technology to patrol their votes, and challenged them to become the start of the change they want for the country.

In 2009, BMPM broke the story on the Maguindanao Massacre when the first photo from the crime scene was sent to BMPM by a Bayan Patroller only minutes after the killings.

The trailblazing BMPM has brought home various awards from prestigious international and local award-giving bodies such as the International Gold Quill Awards, Asia Pacific PR Awards, the Philippine Quill Awards, the Anvil Awards, and the Tambuli Awards.
