‘Party Pilipinas’ Gets the Axe, to Air Last Episode Next Sunday
The cancellation of “Party Pilipinas” after three years of airing was confirmed by Lilybeth G. Rasonable, OIC Entertainment TV of GMA Network, who sent the following statement to PEP:
“In a few weeks, there will be exciting changes in the Sunday noontime offering of GMA. The new musical variety show will have more fun and thrilling elements that viewers must definitely watch out for, still with the biggest and brightest Kapuso stars. More information on the show will be announced soon.”
Rumor has it that GMA Network was losing P10 million every week from the weekly noontime show that’s why the management decided to pull the plug.

The facts speak for themselves. Wala na show. and don’t bring up management call on feuding directors. Ano man sabihin kahit nino, Hindi ako naniniwala na art or entertainment o lalo nang public service ang dahilan bakit may stasyon sa TV, it’s all about money, money, money, dig?
PARTY PILIPINAS lacks skin.. alam naman nating maraming barako ang naghihintay ng laman.. di ba Anne Curtis??? Nyahahahaha 😛
Kaya malakas ang ASAP kasi hinihintay naming mga Boy Bastos followers ang mga SINGIT sa ASAP.. hahaha 😛

I think what sets ASAP apart from other variety shows ay yung staff talaga at production team sila ang 90% na reason why the show has been consistently great. 10% lang ang artista. Johnny Manahan is unbeatable talaga pagdating sa production value samahan pa ng mga magagaling na production staff.

I happened to have a sneak peek on PP last sunday: Party Pilipinas in MOA. It was on the part that, I guess it was solen and other Kapuso stars; wearing balloons, windmills, and other stuffs. It came to my mind: “What had happened to the show?” A fashion show without a taste. A fashion show without a statement. Furthermore, one of their productions (dance) the Kapuso stars lacks energy and doesn’t have any syncronizity at all. I think they do not have enough practice.
They do have world-class performers: Regine Velasquez, Asia’s Song Bird, Jaya, Asia’ Queen of Souls, Christian Bautista and others. They have the best voice belters; singers that could reach high range without exerting too much effort, however, these singers seems to compete with each other during their productions, because they tend to overlap the voice of each other. They have the tendency to over kill the song just to let the crowd know that “I have the voice equivalent to Regine or Maraiah, or Celine Dion.” They need to fix these problems so that they could have a good show.
Comparatively, ASAP 18 have the same world-class performers with Party Pilipinas, however, when it comes to their singers; ASAP 18 have a variety of signers with a variety of voice quality. If you want to hear a song that would relax your mind, listen to Princess, Richard Poon, and Sitti. If you want a cool accoustic ambiance: Nyoy Volante, KC Tandingan, Aiza, Nikki Gil and Juris Songs that would blow your emotions: Vina, Garry, and Aiza. This list goes on.
ASAP has the variety of singers and performers, while Party Pilipinas has the cast of powerful voices. However, ASAP18 wins the game because of the excellent production.
When it comes to production: I was dismayed that Party Pilipinas underrated their openning production during the concert in MOA. The production is not meant for that special concert. It is to simple. It is just an ordinary production

e sa GMA halos lahat ng issue sa Bayan natin na-ilalathala nila! e sa ABS lahat ng Soap opera hindi pinapuyatan ang magiging Title ang show isinusunod na lng sa title ng kanta PALAGI???? palagi na lang?
eh sa GMA lahat ng show nila bagay ang title it the story revolves in it and titles are unique with the right theme song ….halatang pinag isipan maigi!
kaya siguro sila na lugi bcoz ang bongga ng set nila palagi d gaya ng ASAP ANG STAGE PANG COMEDY BAR!
ginaya lng nang ASAP ang concept ng Party Pilipinas na magkaroon ng “theme” evry week. Meju gawa2x din sila ng teaser regarding dito.

Maganda naman ang Party Pilipinas kaso lang mali yung mga artist na nadun. Yung mga singers na champion sa mga patimpalak e walang dating kasi mga boses talo pa sina Frank Sinatra sa laki kaya kung gusto nilang kumita at magtagal yung show nila yung tunay na singers ilalagay dun like regine velasquez, yung iba let go na.

ABANGAN BUKAS (possibly): The ratings of THAT ONE PP EPISODE that MADE EVERY OTHER PP EPISODE LOOK LIKE A CHILDREN’S TALE FROM ABROAD… Magaalaman na kung ito ay isang MARTYRDOM OPERATION para sa mga avid kanguso o SUICIDAL NUKE for the rest of us including the fans of ASAP the “murderer” (read: IDOL MACHINE).

Parang hindi nag practice..at ang papangit ng mga costumes nila ..super baduy..cnu b stylist nyo?

Yesterday, I went to MOA after reminding me last Saturday night that PP would hold at MOA Arena. So this is my story regarding it:
A hundered-strong crowd patiently waited for their “idols” to exit. Sunod may hiyawan after hiyawan in the backdrop of the audience leaving in large groups, but NONE of these cheerings are as loud as some Kapamilya stars’. Pagkatapos ng mismong show lahat na nagperform agad nakalabas gamit ng sari-sarili nilang kotse (majority of them have dark-tinted windows designed to hide their passengers!). (This meant almost no chances of showing up at MOA proper that same day.) Next up were the GMA-marked vehicles. IN ABOUT AN HOUR the crowd was cleared. From what I seen first hand, the audience appeared to have fewer banners and placards of their fans than those seen on ASAP or some mall shows involving Kapamilyas.
PP MOA ARENA EPISODE = LAST-DITCH NUKE AND LIFE-OR-DEATH “FINAL” BATTLE!
PP’s SUCCESSOR = JUST A SLIGHTLY ALTERED VERSION OF PP FOR SURE!!! (but who are the new main hosts?)
ASAP never fails to entertain me every Sunday plus the artists are really good.

as per AGB mataas ang ratings talo ang ASAP, kung mataas ang ratings, maraming viewers, kung maraming viewers maganda ang format, eh bakit ire-reformat, so it means peke ang viewers daw nila, and it means peke ang AGB Party Pilipinas ratings. lol
