Ai Ai delas Alas Confirms Separation from Jed Salang, Admits Being a Battered Wife
The 48-year-old comedienne tied the knot with Jed, 28, last April 4 in a ceremony held in Las Vegas, after a year-long relationship.
A little more than a month after, they separated.
In an interview with Boy Abunda on “The Buzz” on Sunday, Ai Ai revealed that a friend of Jed told her last year that Jed doesn’t love her and that he is only after her money.
“Sinabi sa akin na may balak si Jed na papatulan lang ako ni Jed then later on, kukuha…ayokong sabihin ‘yung word…tapos kapag nagawa na niya ‘yung bagay na ‘yun, iiwan na niya ako,” Ai Ai told Boy and added that the completion of the plan is that the guy will settle down with his ex-girfriend,” she said.
Abunda asked the comedienne if she believed the things that Jed’s friend had told her and why she did not listen.
“Alam ko dahil from the very beginning ramdam ko naman ‘yun kaya lang natatakot ako, natatakot ako sa totoo, and natatakot ako na kapag nalaman ko ang totoo, sobrang sakit,” she replied.
“Sobrang minahal ko ‘yun e…alam mo naman na dream kong magkaroon ng asawa, akala ko siya ‘yung bigay sa akin, siyempre tao lang ako nagkakamali. Di ko naman alam na magiging ganun ang buhay namin,” she added.
Ai Ai called it quits on the day Jed started to physically abuse her, the same day she gave him the car he had always wanted.
“Nung May 2, gusto niya mag-monthsary kami sa Casino. E ayoko nang mag-Casino siya kasi hindi naman healthy para sa kanya at hindi na rin maganda para sa akin. So sabi ko sa kanya dun na lang kami sa bahay or any hotel, huwag lang dun kasi may Casino dun.
“Pero nagalit siya. Napunta na naman kami sa physical fight…hinahagis ako sa kama, ganun, sampalan, bunuan. E ‘nung araw na ‘yun, kasi ang feeling ko, ‘yung time na hinila niya ko sa sahig at kinaladkad niya ko, doon ko na-realize na hindi ko na ‘to kaya kasi parang feeling ko, kabibigay ko pa lang ‘nung dream niya e, binigay ko ‘yung makakapagpaligaya sa ‘yo, binigyan ko siya ng kotse, e ‘nung araw na ‘yun kinaladkad mo ako sa sahig.
“Parang pakiramdam ko, ano pa ba ang magagawa mo sa akin habang ako lahat naibigay ko na ang lahat sa ‘yo,” she said.
