Celina Le Neindre Gets Fired from ‘The Apprentice Asia,’ Jonathan Yabut Makes It to Top 5

Philippine bet Celina Le Neindre was fired during the seventh episode of "The Apprentice Asia" on AXN. Jonathan Yabut, the lone Pinoy left in the competition, makes it to Top 5 with three more weeks left before the show's finale.

The 30-year-old Le Neindre is a food and beverage consultant for a steakhouse, and has also created and managed her own pasta bar which ran for three years in the Philippines.

During the seventh episode of “The Apprentice Asia” titled “They Rap! They Beat-box! They Make Girls Cry,” the Davaoeña together with 5 other remaining contestants were divided into two teams: Team Apex and Team Mavericks. Le Neindre joined self-assigned project manager Alexis Lothar Bauduin, a China-based French expat and Samuel Rufus Nallaraj of India for Team Apex. Yabut, on the other hand, joined Team Mavericks which was headed by Dian Krishna Mukti, 2013 Miss Universe Indonesia and the Civil-and-commercial litigation lawyer Andrea Loh from Singapore.

Both teams were tasked to design new uniforms for the guest services, weekend flight attendant and ramp attendant budget airline AirAsia, of which the show’s host Tony Fernandes acts as CEO. The task culminated via a fashion show featuring some staff members modelling the newly-designed uniforms.

Team Mavericks won the task after garnering 82 votes out of 137 AirAsia employees who liked their designs for being “functional and fashionable” uniforms at the same time. Team Apex, on the other hand, got only 55 votes. Their design, specifically the cabin crew uniform, was criticized for being too “old-fashioned”, as well as having a white top which did not allow for easy clean-up after spills.

Members of the losing team–Alexis, Samuel, and Celina–were sent to the boardroom for deliberation. Alexis blamed Celina for her poor design. He also attacked the Filipina by saying that she was insincere in handling people. Celina, striked back at Alexis for being an incompetent leader.

In the end, the Filipina got the boot.

Meanwhile, Jonathan Yabut is still in the running to become the first ever “The Apprentice Asia” winner. Catch the reality show’s remaining episodes on AXN every Wednesday at 9:00pm with replays on Wednesdays, 11:50pm; Thursdays, 2:30pm & 8:10pm; Saturdays, 9:15am & 9 pm; and Sundays, 3:35pm & 11:50pm.
