Taste Delectable Dishes Across PH in Mercato Centrale’s New ‘Fiesta Bahia’

Delectable dishes from across the Philippines come together in one place at Fiesta Bahia, the country’s first food tourism market. Take a bite from every region at Fiesta Bahia every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from 4PM to 3AM at SM by the Bay in SM Mall of Asia.

Fiesta Bahia comes from the foodie masterminds of the Mercato Centrale Group, organizers of the most popular night food markets across Metro Manila and even Pampanga. The province, long known as one of the culinary centers of the country, is among those represented in Fiesta Bahia.

Visitors can expect everything from provincial delicacies to full blown fiesta fare of main courses at this unique night food market. Some of Fiesta Bahia’s vendors include Panaderia Pantoja, Bernabest “Bulacans Pride”, Guaguas Best Chicken and Pork BBQ, Manong’s Bagnet, and Andrei’s Lugawan. Fiesta Bahia also features gourmet and artisanal food from popular Mercato Centrale vendors.

Coupled with live music and the refreshing by-the-bay ambience of its location, Fiesta Bahia is set to be an essential stop for any culinary adventurer to the Philippines. It replicates the relaxed atmosphere of the Mercato Centrale Group’s food markets where family and friends dine outdoors on a wide variety of food. This time, the choices are distinctly Filipino, perfect for balikbayans who have missed local favorites or for tourists who want to try Filipino food. It also presents a great location for enjoying SM MOA’s fireworks display.

“Fiesta Bahia is really about the food tourism market. We wanted to bring all the great cuisine from the different regions to just one place where tourists and even locals can enjoy them. Visitors will find the best of regional food right here, no plane ticket required,” says RJ Ledesma, Co-founder of the Mercato Centrale Group.
Fiesta Bahia is located by the fountain along Seaside Boulevard, across the SM MOA Entertainment Mall. Entrance to this weekend food market is free.

“We’re proud to have helped a number of our food vendors create their own niche in the local food industry. Among those who have emerged are Manang’s Chicken, Mochiko, Chuck’s Grubberie, Mio Gelati, Spring by Ha Yuan, Merry Moo, Inutak, Zen Taclings, Eat My Garlic Fries and a lot more,” added Ledesma.

All food vendors to the Mercato Centrale Group undergo taste tests and are chosen for flavour, innovation and uniqueness.

“We were inspired by the vibrant night food markets of our Asian neighbors like Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong and Taiwan. They are not only destination markets but tourist attractions as well. Thus, we wanted to bring that exciting ‘street food’ vibe and culture to the Philippines, and give it a uniquely Pinoy spin,” said Ledesma.
For food vendors who want to join Fiesta Bahia, please contact (+63 917) 840-1152 or (+632) 812-0102 or admin@mercatocentrale.ph. Priority will be given to vendors specializing in provincial and regional food.
