DZMM anchors, Cory Qurino, Dean Amado Valdez, Atty. Claire Castro, Carl Balita, Louie Tabing, and Stargazer, recently spread happiness as they personally served a thousand of people in the first-ever “TLC (Teaching, Learning and Caring) Special” in celebration of DZMM’s 27th anniversary.

In the whole-day event, the anchors were in full force to serve the public as they led in conducting free consultation and seminar on business, legal concerns and health, aside from conducting storytelling for kids and free medical services.

Dean Valdez and Atty. Castro gave one-on-one counseling to people having legal dilemmas. Balita and Tabing gave pieces of advice to future entrepreneurs on their business consultation booth. Quirino, meanwhile, talked about health and wellness and provided tips on how to stay young-looking and healthy at the same time.

Stargazer, on the other hand, drew a long line of people who want to take a peek on their future as she held a free aura-reading.

The event also launched a one-stop booth for SSS, Philhealth and PAGIBIG registration. Gift packs, t-shirts and digital black box were also raffled away.

Prior to “TLC Special,” DZMM also held “Dugong Alay, Dugtong Buhay,” bloodletting activity recently as part of its anniversary celebration. Anchors Julius Babao, Gerry Baja, Atty. Castro and Atty. Joey Lina also took part in the bloodletting activity.

The activity, which was able to collect 800 blood bags, was held simultaneously at ABS-CBN Studio 2 in Quezon City, Lucena, Davao, Pampanga, Bacolod, Batangas and Baguio City.

Meanwhile, DZMM has launched RED (Readiness in Emergencies and Disasters Campaign) Alert Campaign to provide emergency preparedness education to the masses. The campaign aims to bring out the heroes in them to save lives during unexpected calamities and tragedies.

Martin Aguda, head of ABS-CBN Safety and Event Risk Management, meanwhile, conducted a seminar on disaster preparedness during the “TLC Special” as part of the RED Alert Campaign.
